I am happiest outdoors! My favorite activities are running, backpacking at Grayson Highlands, kayaking the Pamlico Sound in Hatteras, hiking with friends at Stone Mountain, or being anywhere in Asheville.
My dream is to hike the Appalachian Trail.
I just learned to fly fish last year and can't even put into words how much I enjoyed it. I hope to do more of that this year!
I am a mom to an almost 3 year old and love it so much. I also have a golden retriever named Norm .
I married my husband in 2020 right in the smack dab of covid. We got married in our backyard with 6 people and it was perfect.

Out of high school I had no idea what I wanted to do. All I knew is that I wanted to work hard, save, and be able to support a family. I started out as a Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist with a focus on athletes at the age of 19. During that time, I was also was the Sales Coordinator, Operator & Manager for a small business where I had to quickly learn how to make connections. After a couple of years doing that, I received an offer to be an Inside Sales Rep & Product Specialist for the United States Golf Division at Ralph Lauren. The offer was too good to turn down.
In the midst of this transition, I started selling Stella & Dot Jewelry & created an Instagram in 2013 to share products and drum up business. Come to found out, I was pretty good at the whole social media thing. A couple years later, I left Ralph Lauren & took an offer to be the Social Media Strategist for multiple medical scrub companies. After juggling over 21 different social media accounts , I realized there was a market for this in Winston-Salem and that there wasn't a single company who offered the "total package" at an affordable cost. Those that were in marketing produced graphics and content that was outdated, cold, and inauthentic to their client's brand, and they were charging businesses thousands of dollars for what seemed like nothing.
After a girls night out and a glass of whiskey, Merritt Media was born in 2015!
