frequently asked
Questions
Q. What’s the best way to get in touch /communicate with you?
A. Text is the quickest and preferred way of communication for any questions, sending over photos, bts content, etc. For anything that is detail oriented (event details, specials, etc), I ask that you email me!
Q. Do I have to work with your photographer?
A. Yes, all clients are required to work with Amber because of her exceptional ability to deliver high-quality, diverse imagery (150+ images per 90-minute shoot) that lasts 2+ months. Her work avoids repetitive shots and ensures each image aligns with the client’s brand aesthetic and editing style for a cohesive social media presence. Trusting her quality is vital, as every post not only reflects the client's brand, but Merritt Media's as well. If for any reason you want to work with another photographer, please reach out to me and I will send you my preferred photographer list.
Q. Are we allowed to hop in and/or post on the pages?
A. No. I ask to be the only one (besides the owners) with access to the pages so that I can keep track of and be held responsible for both the aesthetics and statistics of your pages. During our partnership, every post and communication - whether it be public comment replies or private direct messages - are all a direct representation of my business as well.
Q. Do you boost posts?
A. For security reasons, Merritt Media does not handle any paid ads or boosted posts. However, you are welcome to boost any of my posts!
Q. Do you work with TikTok, X, or Threads?
A. No. We only work with Facebook and Instagram.
Q. How many times a week will you post?
A. As long as you keep up with your quarterly branding shoots, I guarantee 5 in-feed posts per week.
Q. Can we post your content to other platforms that you don’t manage? Or, can my team members post your content to their personal pages?
A. All posts and captions created by Merritt Media are copyrighted intellectual property, reflecting the time and creativity invested in curating content that aligns with your brand. To use this content on other platforms or personal pages not managed by Merritt Media, there’s a licensing fee of $20 per post. Alternatively, team members can opt for a small monthly fee, allowing them to screenshot posts and use the exact copy for their personal feeds.
Q. Are reels included in your pricing?
A. Yes! But as of 2025, you now have the option to remove monthly reel visits from your package. I do always suggest reels and find them extremely beneficial, but I have also found that they are not for everyone.
Q. What are your business hours?
A. Monday-Friday 9am-5pm! But if there is an emergency (early closing, delay in opening, machines down, power outage, weather related, etc.) – text me any time and I will create a graphic and post immediately!
Q. Do you handle all of the messages and comments on our page?
A. Yes! I will respond to every message, story tag, and comment within 24 hours. If there is something I don’t know how to answer, and I am not able to find the answer on your website, I will reach out to my designated POC for help.
Q. Will you engage with the community on our page?
A. Yes! I dedicate 30–60 minutes daily to local engagement, interacting with posts from local individuals and businesses to ensure your brand stays visible in the community. Additionally, I request a list of partners or businesses you want to support and turn on their post notifications to consistently engage with and promote their content.
Q. Do you share stats?
A. Yes! After our 1 Month Trial I will send over stats. After that, and if you wish to continue with a longer contract, I will send over quarterly stats.
Q. What’s the best way to get calendars to you for anything happening within / at our business?
A. I ask for either a shared Google Doc or a calendar to be sent via email at least one week before the start of each month to ensure I stay in tune with everything happening. This also gives me enough time to curate any necessary graphics, posters, or other materials.
If you don’t have all the details yet, no worries! However, I do ask for at least 48 hours' notice for any last-minute post requests to allow enough time to create a strategic post, design a graphic, and/or select an image that fits seamlessly with your feed.
Q. Will anyone else on your team other than you be logged into our social pages?
A. No! It’ll be just me logged in.
Q. How do you handle emergencies that may arise at our business (weather related, etc)?
A. If you have an urgent post request related to weather, opening late, closing early, power outages, etc. - I will create a graphic and post immediately, no matter the time of day!
